Receptree account deletion and data deletion resource

This page exists so Receptree users can request account deletion both inside the app and outside the app, including after uninstalling the Android app. The request path below is publicly reachable and intended for Google Play compliance.

Request account deletion

You can request deletion directly from this page. Google Play requires a public web pathway so you can delete your account even if the Android app is no longer installed.

Sign in on the web to delete your account.

If you can no longer access your account, contact support and include the email address linked to your Receptree account.

How to request deletion

  1. Open this page: https://receptree.com/legal/delete-account.
  2. If you still have access to your account, sign in and use the deletion flow above.
  3. If you cannot access your account anymore, email support@novasas.ch with the email address linked to your Receptree account and request account deletion.
  4. We may ask you to verify that you control the account before we delete it.

Delete specific data without deleting your account

Receptree also allows you to remove certain data without deleting your entire account.

  • You can delete individual recipes you created.
  • You can delete collections you created.
  • You can remove uploaded profile avatars.
  • You can remove favorites, likes, shared collection links, and block entries.

To remove this data, sign in to your Receptree account and use the relevant in-app or web controls in your profile, recipes, collections, or settings areas.

If you cannot access your account, email support@novasas.ch and describe which data you want removed. We may ask you to verify that you control the account before processing the request.

Removing specific data does not delete your Receptree account unless you also complete the account deletion process described on this page.

Data deleted from Receptree systems

  • Your Receptree authentication account and profile are permanently removed.
  • Your recipes, recipe parameters, uploads, thumbnails, and stored recipe images are deleted.
  • Your collections, collection shares, favorites, likes, and block relationships are deleted.
  • Your user settings, cookie preferences, legal acceptance records, and account-linked limit or subscription records in our database are deleted.
  • We also delete account-linked records from our own Supabase-hosted authentication, database, and storage environment.

Data that may be retained

Some data may need to be retained for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud prevention, legal defense, accounting, tax, or regulatory compliance.

This can include limited transaction, invoice, tax, anti-fraud, or support records, especially where payments were processed by billing providers such as Stripe, Google Play, or Apple. Those providers may keep records under their own legal obligations and retention schedules.

Backup copies may also remain temporarily until they are overwritten or rotated in the ordinary backup cycle. They are not kept as active product data.

Where a request only concerns deletion of specific data instead of the full account, the same legitimate retention exceptions may apply if certain records must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal defense, accounting, tax, or regulatory compliance.

Deletion timing

If you complete the authenticated self-service flow, deletion of active account data in Receptree is initiated immediately after confirmation.

If you request deletion by email because you cannot access your account, we process the request after identity verification.

Retained records and backup copies, where applicable, are removed later according to the relevant legal retention requirement or the ordinary backup rotation cycle.

Before you delete your account

  • Download or save any recipes or information you want to keep.
  • If you have an active paid subscription, cancel recurring billing first if required for your plan or platform billing setup. Deleting your Receptree account does not automatically cancel charges managed by Google Play, Apple, or Stripe.
  • If you cannot access your account anymore, email support@novasas.ch and include the email address linked to your Receptree account.
